Our process
How We Vet and Match Installers
Every installer in our network meets a clear set of standards before they receive a single match. Here's exactly what we check and how we connect you.
Our Vetting Standards
Before any installer joins our network, we verify the following. We re-check annually.
Active state licensing
We verify the installer holds the correct license category for bath remodels in their state. For Florida, that's typically a Certified Building Contractor (CBC), Certified Residential Contractor (CRC), or Plumbing Contractor license depending on scope.
General liability and workers' comp insurance
We require a minimum of $1 million in general liability coverage and active workers' compensation for any employees on the job site. We request a certificate of insurance and verify it directly with the carrier.
Minimum 2 years in business
Newer companies can do excellent work, but we require at least 2 years of operating history under the current business name and license. This rules out fly-by-night operators who rebrand to escape bad reviews.
4-star minimum across major review platforms
We check Google, BBB, and at least one industry-specific platform (HomeAdvisor, Houzz, or Angi). The installer must hold a 4.0+ average across the platforms with at least 20 cumulative reviews.
No active complaints with consumer protection agencies
We check the Better Business Bureau, state attorney general consumer complaint records, and state contractor licensing board disciplinary actions. Active unresolved complaints disqualify the installer.
Specialty in bath remodels, not general remodeling
We work only with installers whose primary business is bath remodels, walk-in tubs, or accessibility renovations. General contractors who do bath remodels as a side service don't qualify, because the specialization shows in the install quality.
How Matching Works
From homeowner inquiry to installer connection, here's the full sequence
- 1
Homeowner submits a quote request
You answer a short series of questions about your project type, bathroom situation, timeline, and contact preferences. Takes about 60 seconds.
- 2
We match based on geography and project fit
Your information is reviewed against our installer network. We match based on service area, project type (walk-in tub vs. shower conversion), timeline, and any specialized needs you've indicated.
- 3
Up to 3 installers receive your information
A maximum of three matched installers receive your contact information. Each installer pays for the introduction, which is how we keep the service free for homeowners.
- 4
Installers reach out within 24 hours
Matched installers contact you within 24 hours by your preferred method (phone, email, or text). They provide a free in-home or virtual consultation and a written estimate. You compare and choose.
What We Don't Do
Equally important: things we explicitly don't do that other lead services do
We don't sell your information to unrelated third parties
Your contact information goes only to the matched installers we send it to. We don't sell email lists, share with marketing partners, or include you in any unrelated outreach.
We don't accept payment for higher rankings
Installers can't pay us to be matched more often or shown first. Matching is based on geography, project fit, and capacity, period.
We don't oversaturate metros with installers
We work with a maximum of 3 installers per metro for any given project type. This protects exclusivity for our partners and keeps lead quality high. New installers join only when an existing partner exits or we expand into adjacent service areas.
We don't pretend to be the installer
Some lead services present themselves as the contractor and route work to subcontractors behind the scenes. We're upfront about our role as a matching service. The installer who calls you is the installer who will do the work.
